History
The premier issue of Banfield was launched in July 2005 and offers a unique
approach for a veterinary journal. Readers enjoy a mix of articles that
encompass clinical, leadership and lifestyle content to help veterinarians
achieve success in both practice and life. The journal fills a huge void to
meet the growing needs of women, recent graduates, and students in general Pet
practice. More than 50 percent of the veterinary profession is made up of women
and that percentage is growing rapidly. Sixty five percent of the students in
veterinary school are women, with the female population at some schools as high
as 90 percent.

Today, Banfield is driven by the same goal that has
always inspired us: making life better for families.
We do this by giving Pets the same care we want for
ourselves, making Pet health affordable, strengthening
the value of Pets in families, teaching how better Pet
care maximizes lives, and stopping euthanasia by
keeping Pets healthy. Put simply, treating your Pet like family. |
