Banfield reaches major milestone for Pet healthcare and the practice
PORTLAND, Ore. – October 29, 2009 – Banfield, The Pet Hospital® is now providing preventive healthcare to more than 1 million Pets through its Optimum Wellness Plans. Banfield has increased the number of Wellness Plan members by 50 percent over the past five years.
Wellness Plans are discounted packages of healthcare services that include the cost of preventive care Banfield veterinarians recommend Pets receive each year. Tailored to fit the age of the Pet (puppies, kittens and adult Pets) the plans include unlimited free office calls, annual vaccinations, twice annual nose-to-tail comprehensive examinations, routine dental cleanings, and lab work, among other preventive care services. In addition to discounts on services not included, the Wellness Plans provide screening for numerous conditions that may adversely affect a Pet’s health and lifespan.
