Pet food collection event at Portland Trail Blazers game a success

This past Saturday, Banfield collected Pet food from fans as they entered the Portland Trail Blazers home basketball game. Bringing in nearly 700 pounds of Pet food, the collection event was a huge success. The food collected at the game, as well as throughout the Season of Suppers campaign, will help keep hungry Pets of homebound seniors fed this holiday season and beyond. Season of Suppers, now in its fourth year, was created with the realization that many seniors were sharing their once-daily delivered meal from Meals On Wheels Association of America (MOWAA) with their Pets, compromising the nutrition of both.

The collection night was part of Banfield’s continued partnership with the Trail Blazers. The first 500 attendees who donated new, unopened Pet food at the event received a traveling dog bowl and a discounted coupon to the Blazers fan shop.
