BANFIELD TEAM MEMBERS ASSIST LOCAL NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH COMMUNITY SERVICE THIS JUNE

 

Portland, Ore. —Friday, May 30, 2008—Starting next week, Banfield, The Pet Hospital® encourages team members from its main campus to take time during the month of June to make a difference with three local not-for-profit organizations in the broader Portland metro area. Banfield team members will support Animeals and Friends Involved in Dog Outreach (FIDO) of Clackamas County, the Madison South Neighborhood Association (MSNA) and the Oregon Humane Society (OHS) with current volunteer project needs.

Scheduled Banfield Community Service Events:
 

·         Banfield team members will help Animeals sort and package nutritious pet food for the cats and dogs of people who receive home-delivered meals on Wednesday, June 4th (11a.m.-2p.m.)

·         Banfield supporters will join MSNA effort to clean up trash along 82nd Avenue and help remove graffiti next Thursday, June 5th (11a.m.-2p.m.)

·         Banfield volunteers will help FIDO set up for its “FIDO day 2008” fundraiser scheduled for June 7th at Clackamas Community College and provide veterinarian support (assistance with rabies vaccinations and micro-chips) on the day of the even.

·         Banfield team members will help OHS staff the Cooking Light magazine 2008 Fit House throughout the entire month of June.
